Rifugio Modern

Designed by Davide Groppi Absence through essence. Nulla generates light and spreads magic. It is the most generous of our lamps, the one that hides for the sole purpose of giving the scene to the illuminated subject. A very small hole in the ceiling, a very powerful LED and a lens, ADI Compasso d’Oro Award in 2014. We went further, hiding the hole. The magnetic fixing of Nulla Extradark allows the main body to be extracted for quick and easy maintenance.

Think steampunk: situations in which instruments were inspired by the rudiments of electricity. The classic light bulb that has no future becomes a wonderful device made of luminous diodes. What would the past have looked like if the future had arrived first?

It’s a chandelier that has been de-structured and that can be re-assembled according to the aesthetic taste of the user. It’s a kind of conjuring trick that gives you the possibility of connecting the diodes in series using very weak electric currents so as to have wires that are practically invisible.
